In March 2026, the Provincial Teacher Training Center (PMTC) in Takeo was buzzing with an energy that went far beyond the typical classroom setting. This was the site of the 6th STEM Offline Seminar, a pivotal event dedicated to the “Transformation of STEM Education”.
Today, we share the story of 107 dedicated educators who embarked on a 45 hours of offline learning + 2-week self-learning journey to redefine the future of Cambodian classrooms.
⏳ 45 Hours of offline learning + 2-week self-learning: A Sprint Toward Growth
From March 9th to 13th, teachers from various provinces gathered for an intensive program co-organized by the National Institute of Education (NIE) and EMCAST. The mission was clear: master curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and the integration of cutting-edge technology into daily lessons.
This wasn’t just a series of lectures. Participants were evaluated through a rigorous system including attendance, pre- and post-tests, classroom activities, and final homework submissions. Those who successfully navigated this demanding path earned 3 valuable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
🏆 Meet Our 100 STEM Heroes
After five days of hard work and collaboration, we are proud to announce that 100 educators emerged as certified STEM leaders. This represents a phenomenal 91% success rate. Notably, this group of 100 includes 40 inspiring female teachers, highlighting the growing diversity and strength of our educational workforce.
Our new “STEM Stars” are ready to shine across these vital subjects:
- 📐 Mathematics: 25 teachers equipped to guide students through logical discovery.
- 🔭 Physics: 22 explorers ready to reveal the laws of the universe.
- 🧪 Chemistry: 19 experimenters passionate about the science of change.
- 🌿 Biology: 20 experts dedicated to the study of life and nature.
- 🌍 Earth Science: 14 guardians prepared to teach the importance of our planet.
🌱 The Transformation Starts in the Classroom
While the seminar in Takeo has concluded, the real impact is just beginning. These 100 heroes are now returning to their respective schools, carrying with them new tools, fresh perspectives, and an unshakeable passion for STEM.
