Professional growth never stops! Since March 9th, 125 dedicated educators have been participating in an intensive 5-day STEM Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training at the Kampong Cham Provincial Regional Pedagogical Center.

Today, March 12th, marks the midpoint of this transformative journey. Here is a detailed look at how we are bridging the gap between modern digital tools and evidence-based curriculum practice.
💻 Days 1 & 2: ICT for Teaching and Learning
The first two days focused on harnessing the power of technology to enhance the classroom experience.
- Digital Tools: Participants mastered Google Classroom and H5P for formative assessment and collaboration.
- STTC Online Learning: We introduced a structured three-week homework submission programme via the STTC platform, ensuring that professional development extends beyond the 5-day training room.
📚 Days 3 & 4: Curriculum Literacy and Backward Design
Currently, our educators are diving deep into the heart of curriculum design.
- Backward Design Framework: Teachers are learning to start with desired learning outcomes and design meaningful assessments first. (※ The attached two photos below illustrate the leaf classification of plants in the design lesson plan.)
- Hands-on Project Work: Participants are producing complete, classroom-ready lesson plans grounded in real curriculum standards for their specific STEM subjects.

🎤 Days 4 & 5: Peer Feedback and Action Research (Upcoming)
The final stretch of the training will focus on collaborative refinement and future growth.
- Peer Feedback: Educators will present their curriculum designs for structured reflection and collaborative improvement.
- Action Research: We will conclude with an introduction to Action Research, equipping teachers with an inquiry-based approach to drive continuous improvement in their teaching practice.
Building Lasting Impact
This 5-day journey is empowering our teachers with:
- Digital Fluency through practical ICT integration.
- Curriculum Design Skills through the Backward Design framework.
- A Reflective Mindset through peer feedback and Action Research.
Most importantly, our participating educators are gaining the renewed confidence and genuine enthusiasm needed to make a lasting difference in the lives of their students every single day.
Stay tuned for the final graduation highlights on March 13th!
